Cotopaxi

The Secret Garden is an eco-hostel in the Cotopaxi valley. The views from there and also travelling to the hostel are magnificent. Cotopaxi is an active volcano and has been very active recently but not while I was there.  It looms above you with it’s ice cream cone top gleaming in the sunlight. to the right of you are the double peaks of the Illinizas  and to the left is Ruminawi which is a dormant volcano. This spectacular mountain scenery greets you in the morning and changes  throughout the day culminating in a magnificent sunset. You can actually see up to 8 volcanoes from the land around the Secret Garden.
