Songkran Thailand Happy New Year

My friend Vanessa came out and we partied first in Bangkok, then a full moon party in Koh Phi Phi and then the madness of the Thai New Year, Songkran. This is how the Thais welcome New Year and consists of large guns spraying water on everyone or buckets of water being poured over you.Ice cold is even better and many people buy large blocks of ice to improve the sensation. If you are near the moat surrounding the inner city you can have the filthy dirty river water. I learned to keep my mouth firmly shut! It is the most tremendous fun- the first day, second day it is OK and by the third day you are so fed up of getting wet especially as foreigners are the best targets! The funniest is how involved you get. I was like a little kid if someone “got” me soaked I was back in revenge “shooting” them with my gun.
