El Chalten
El Chalten is a lovely little town where we hired bikes and looked at the mountain scenery which surrounded us. The weather was sunny so we found a great pub which served brownies and brewed its own beer. Next day we walked up Torres de Cerro. The day after we walked to Mount Fitzroy. El Chalten felt so very welcome that it was difficult to leave. We also had problems trying to find the man with the van that would take us to our next destination. He, poor man, had two mad Scottish girls turning up and waking him every couple of days to be sure they were able to leave on the 5am bus. Little did we know that the man in caravan was to be our driver and therefore was sleeping through the day to drive the long trip. On our way out of town we saw the most glorious sunrise. Got to our next destination to find that the bus at 12 midday was 12 midnight and had gone.
