La Paz
La Paz is not the Capital of Bolivia although it is the largest city in Bolivia. The roads are liable to be closed when there is a lot of rain. Potosi is the highest city in the world but La Paz is the second highest. There is a wonderful Franciscan monastery in Plaza San Francisco. If you climb the bell tower you get fantastic views of the city. Slightly out of town is the Valle de La Luna a moonscape which changes every time there is rain as it is a mud like structure. Tiwanaku is an Inca site and probably was on Lake Titicaca at one point before the Lake shrank.
