San Carlos de Bariloche: Patagonia

Stunningly beautiful very touristy place. Chocolate shops, Swiss style chalets, Hostels, Hotels, Restaurants, Patagonia clothes and wares abound. Lots of wonderful lakes framed by magnificent mountains. Plenty of hiking, biking and rock climbing. We ate the Chocolate, Cycled the routes and climbed the hills and had a fantastic time here.

If the climb does not kill you the wind will. This pretty city on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi is the gateway to Argentina’s Patagonia. San Carlos de Bariloche is the chocolate city of the Argentinean Lake District but you can shed any extra pounds gained by skiing, wind surfing, trekking and sailing in the many Andean mountain tops and beautiful Lakes that surround this adventure capital.
