Buenos Aires Art and Music

If you are lucky enough to be in Buenos Aires on a Wednesday night check out Calle Peru 576 where the band Orquestra Tipica el Afronte has a regular gig. You will be rewarded by heartfelt pulsing tango music with four bandoneons, three violins, one cello, one piano and one double bass and a singer whose deep voice vibrates as he sings the soulful melodies. You can dance or just sit, have a beer and listen to the amazing sounds.
Buenos Aires is a city of art and culture with wonderful Art Exhibitions, most of them free, and great architecture. It has many theatres and cultural centres and a burgeoning street art scene which started out as a political platform but has developed into collectable art, designs for shop fronts and even pub decor.
