Villa De Angostura

Overshadowed by its more famous sisters Villa de Angostura, Spanish for Narrowness Ville, is a mini version of Bariloche and San Martin de Los Andes. It is a tranquil unspoilt little town but just as beautiful as and possibly more interesting than its elders. Cycling through the town you are aware of the poverty in the outskirts as you travel in the indigenous areas. It is a land of gauchos and estancias, cold water lakes for fishing, mountains for skiing and forests for trekking. The autumn forest leaves of green, yellow, red and orange contrast against the deep blue of the lakes.
